Currently there are many offers are continuously running on Online shoping on all the websites. These includes Snapdeal, Amazon, Ebay, Naaptoul etc. Everyday some or the other offers are available at any time. But be careful going forward.

 

Flipkart recently announced The Big Billion Day sale on 6th October 2014 as an equivalent to the Black Friday sale in the USA. Lots of people are excited about it. They claim to give 30%-90% discounts on most products. On flipcart, Swayam Doublesheet which has been consistent at around Rs.1124 for over a month now, has suddenly shot up to Rs.1500. Tomorrow they might show a 30% discount and reduce it to original price.

 

Another example from same company says Van Heusen Slim Fit Men’s trousers which were hovering between Rs.1200 to Rs.1700 in the last 1 month have suddenly shot up to Rs.2200 in just 1 day! Cool technique to show people a huge Rs.500 discount on their favorite trousers on 6th October. This can happen with other websites also.

 

There is a flip side to this issue also. I think, this is one of the best opportunity to attack on current inflation. If we are getting products at the discounted rate of say 30% to 50%, it means that we are getting product much cheaper than its MRP. If we really plan and gather some amount by means of bonus, we can make good online purchases during Diwali which can be used for next 10 to 12 months. More the purchase we do, more the saving we do. There are many planned purchases including music system, TV, furniture etc. which we can get at the best prices.

There are few tips before you go for online purchases:
1. Don't jump to purchase immd. Nothing wrong if we miss offer by few mins.
2. Atleast compare with 3 to 4 online companies.
3. Try to club few items in one purchase. There are many offers like if we purchase more than 1999 or 2999, we can get flat discount of extra 30% on the top of regular offer.
4. Make purchases on cell. This gives additional saving. Snapdeal gives SD cash of Rs. 50 on purchase on mobile above Rs. 1000
5. Pay by credit card to get more time to generate funds but make sure to pay full amount due before last date.
6. Two or three friends can plan for bulk purchase to get additional discounts.
